The president and Secretary attended the Rotary International Convention in Chicago, along with Rotarians Carl Oman, Dr. Y. F. S. Moore and A. U. Thomas.
The District Conference was held in McAlester, hosted by our Club, in May of 1931. Elmer Hale was General Chairperson of the Conference Committee, with Aron Weitzenhoffer as Vice Chairperson, Ira Guyman as Secretary, and Au. Thomas, J. T. O'Leary, Carl Oman and Ben Childers as Committee members. Guest speakers for the Conference includes Murray Ross, District Governor; Richard C. ("Dick") Hedke of Detroit, a Director of Rotary International; Dan O'Hearn of Oklahoma City, a Director of Rotary International; and Harry H. Rogers of Tulsa, a Director of Rotary International. The District Conference in McAlester was considered a great success. The Club paid all the Conference bills and had a balance of $1,200, remaining in the Conference Committee treasury.
Plans were formulated for the construction of one building unit at the Boy Scout Camp at Camp Tom Hale.
