The Awards Committee, in our club's Community Avenue of Service, handles selection of our traditional one-year college scholarships for graduating seniors at McAlester High School. The funds are provided by our club's Fine Wheel (primarily used for fines assessed for missing a club meeting - $1 to $3 each), by our club's General Budget, thanks to membership dues and various fund-raising projects during the year, and by interest received in the McAlester Rotary Foundation from bequests left by membes as a permanent source of funds for this purpose.
